Griffey Elected into the Hall of Fame
Ken Griffey Jr. is the first person ever to get more than 99% of the votes to get voted into the baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. He was the idol of the game of baseball during his playing years which started for him when we was only 19 years old. He was playing with the Mariners where he had 417 and home runs and he was one of the most beloved baseball players. After his time with the Mariners, Griffey took his talents back to where he grew up, Cincinnati, Ohio. He was then playing for the Reds. Griffey grew up in Cincinnati and played for one of the best high school baseball teams in the country and that was Moeller High School where he was drafted out of high school. But after his arrival in Cincinnati he began to rack up more and more home runs. He was the hometown guy and hero for most of us young Cincinnati Reds fans. I remember when he hit his 500th and 600th home run with the reds and it was an enormous feat for one of the best baseball players the game has seen. Griffey spent the majority of his career with the Mariners so he is going to be wearing a mariners hat on his bust in the hall. Making him the first Mariners player ever to be elected in the Hall of Fame.

I enjoyed reading your post, because I also like baseball. I was not aware that Griffey went to Moeller H.S. My H.S. baseball coach's brother is the coach at Moeller and our team plays them every year. I saw a few spots in the blog that I thought needed commas. Also, there is a spot that says "we was", where I think you meant "he was". Also, near the end, the words "reds" and "mariners" are not capitalized. Overall, I thought it was a great post!
ReplyDeleteGriffey is one of my favorite Reds player. I enjoyed watching him play. Moeller H.S. isn't very far from the school I went to but I didn't know that Griffey attended there. I also remember when he hit his 600th home run. I was actually at the game when he hit his 600th home run.

ReplyDeleteTyler, great job on your post. It was very descriptive, and taught me some facts that I did not know about Ken Griffey Jr. There were a few grammatical errors and capitalization errors, but other than that great blog post.
