Advertisements
The first advertisement for the iPhone has an audience of anybody who has a phone. They are trying to show us that everyone has an iPhone by stating that 90% of people have one. So they are trying to sell their phones to everybody. You can tell by the pictures that are shown in the commercial. There was not just one person, it was several different people that were not all the same race. The second advertisement has an intended audience for anyone as well. They are just trying to sell their new smart TV where you do not have to use a remote. They just tried to use humor with the good looking girl turning her volume up and down but making it seem like she is waving to all of the men. The third advertisement is showing how great a Mercedes Benz car is in a round about way. The intended audience for this is most likely people who want a nice luxury car that is German. We need to be critical of the intended audience in advertisements because the companies are trying to sell their products to people who are going to want them. For example someone who can't afford a Mercedes Benz isn't going to pay much attention to the commercial. But someone with a decent amount of money and is looking for a luxury car is going to be hooked on that commercial.
