Baseball season starts this week
Baseball starts this next Sunday and I could not be more excited. Whether I get to play or not, I could care less. It is going to be my first collegiate baseball game. This is something that I have been waiting a while for. It has always been my dream to continue to play baseball at the next level and after these long weeks of practice, we will see if all the hard work has paid off. We start the season in Kentucky playing Centre, so hopefully we can come out and start the season on a good note. That way we can be on a roll once we get to Florida. I am super pumped, we have a great group of guys that has a lot of talent. We can definitely do some damage this year if we put our mind to it.

Snow and the Cold
The snow and the cold absolutely suck. This is the time of the year that I hate with a passion. I would much rather have it be nice, sunny and 75 degrees outside. I just want it to be spring weather already because that means that baseball season is up and rolling. The cold and the snow just makes me feel completely unmotivated to do anything at all. It makes it seem depressing out and all you want to do is stay inside and just play Xbox or even watch Netflix. We are practicing for baseball and since it is so cold out it does not make it seem like baseball season is coming around at all. The cold puts everyone in a bad mood because there is not a single person who likes being in the cold. But as soon as it is warm out and sunny it automatically can put you in a great mood. The cold winters just suck and now with being up north even more makes the winters worse. It is just more colder and the wind makes it brutally cold out. But sooner than later it will be spring and there will not be any worries about it being brutally cold out.
Lying
What Meyer means when she said that lying is a cooperative act is, whatever is said does not mean anything until it is actually believed. You are technically in control of whether you are getting lied to or not, it is all about accepting the lie that is told to you. What she means when she is discussing that lying is a way of connecting what we wish we were to who we really are is that by the lies that we tell, after a while, people are going to see who you really are based off of those lies.
I agree with truth #2 about how we are against lying but covertly for it at the same time. This is true, as a society it is frowned upon to lie to someone about something. But in reality we are always lying to try and make ourselves look better or to make sure someone does not find out any information. There are some situations where lying is necessary.
Some techniques to spot liars are the way that they say things and the words that they use. Some people are going to use words to try and distance themselves from the lie. Everybody has their own sayings for when they are about to say a lie. For instance I know my sister would always say "actually" before she was about to lie. We want to learn these techniques so we know if we are being lied to. We can also use these techniques to figure if the people you surround yourself with are trustworthy.
I agree with Meyer on preserving honesty. In my eyes I do not see a point in lying at all. I am the type of person that is very upfront about everything. There is not a point in lying, you are only going to be digging yourself into a big hole because once you start lying, it is going to be hard to stop. Eventually you are going to be lying about your lies and trying to keep covering them up.
